1. We have a low teacher:student ratio to ensure that each student receives the attention they need to thrive both academically and socio-emotionally.
  2. Grade levels are grouped together (e.g., K/1, 2/3) to create opportunities for students to mentor younger peers and benefit from older students’ mentorship. Mixed-age play enhances social and emotional development. The school alternates A and B curricula yearly to prevent repetition and keep students engaged. For example, one child may experience first grade in an A year and second grade in a B year, while a younger sibling may experience the reverse. This approach deepens learning and supports student growth.
  3. A multi level, multi zone classroom allows the teacher to set the tone for a lesson as well as engage the students in different ways. For example, a music lesson may be held with the kids sitting in a circle on the floor, a math lesson may have children moving around the room to various stations, science class may be outside, and language arts may have the students sitting at tables
