Years in Austin
Founded in 1993, as Bais Menachem Hebrew Academy and later Hebrew Preparatory School, Tamim Academy has been an invaluable part of the Austin Jewish community. As the city’s first Jewish Day school, Tamim has been the leader in premier, research and play based education. Joining the national Tamim network several years ago expanded the opportunities for our students, enhanced the abilities and enriched the experience of the teachers, and has given access to more resources and expertise. What started in the living room of our founder and director, Rochel Levertov, has quickly outgrown the four building (more coming soon) campus on Hyridge.
